A couple of clarifications are needed before I can answer your first question.
Since you just purchased the Studio MX Suite, are you looking to ONLY learn about Dreamweaver? Or, are you interested in learning how to take advantage of ALL the programs in the Suite - Fireworks, Flash, Freehand and Dreamweaver?
If you're only interested in Dreamweaver, then I would recommend a Visual Start book. I always enjoyed those and that's how I originally learned Freehand (all the way back to version 5!).
If, however, you are interested in learning how to take advantage of ALL of those programs you paid a handsome penny for, you could purchase a certain big blue book people on this list like to call "The Big Blue Monster". I warn you though, this is a massive and blatant self promotion as it was written by myself, the List Mom on this List (Jord Chilcott) and another Canadian (Hey! We all can't be perfect, you know?) named Tom Green - no relation to that other Green fella although both seemed to have a very freaky and unhealthy obsession with Drew Barrymore (but that's beside the point, isn't it?)...
Anyway, the book's full title is in my e-mail signature below (it's the first book!). You can still find it on Amazon.com. I think you'll find it's just what you're looking for (man, my lips are getting sore tooting my own horn here...).
As for your second problem, got a URL we could take a peak at?
