Re: Fix this listserver (even though it doesn't appear to be broken)
Continuing my curiosity from last night, I decided to see if I could switch to digest mode. I sent a blank email to dreamweaver-digest@lists.blueworld.com, as detailed in the footer of every message, and received the following:
****** This is an automated message from the <dreamweaver@lists.blueworld.com> mailing list manager
Somebody (probably you) have requested the subscribe(digest) operation for your <ajeffery@bookcellaronline.com> address
If you want to confirm this operation, use the Reply command in your mailer.
Check that the Subject of the reply message contains the confirmation ID: xxxxxxxxxx, the reply is directed to <dreamweaver-digest@lists.blueworld.com>, and the 'From' address of your reply is <ajeffery@bookcellaronline.com>.
If you do not want to confirm the requested operation, simply do nothing
All requests about this mailing list should be sent to <dreamweaver-request@lists.blueworld.com> ******
So, I assume that I would be in digest mode if I replied to that email. Is this assumption correct? Have people replied to the confirmation email above and remained in index mode?
And yes, the dreamweaver-index@lists.blueworld.com address appears to be working, too.
I would say that when it comes to the human-listserver interaction here, it's not the listserver that needs fixing. JMHO.

I have been trying to stop this flooding of my mailbox for a week. It is locking up my mailbox. I have sent in unsubscribe requests and even emails to the administrator. But more importantly when I signed on to this forum I specifically requested NO emails. Unintentional mistakes by well meaning goofballs and marshbunnies have no right to cause harm to anyone.
If they brought down your website every day because it got flooded by emails would you be so contrite? If you want to be helpful why don't you fix the listserver. But you don't want to be helpful, you just want to rape the victum.
