No, marked-up hypertext is still great for documents, and a document browser still makes it easy to jump promiscuously among documents. Macromedia Central promises to help make it easier to work with net-aware applications, to do things, instead of just look at things, whether online or off.

Please don't feel uncomfortable... after rapid expansion in the mid-90s, there have been a few year of contraction but things have been shifting behind the scenes and there's a lot of built-up potential starting to manifest again now. New options.

I'd go along with that... it costs little to track a new technology, and to be aware of what others are doing with it. You don't have to get under-the-hood with something unless you see a clear advantage to yourself in doing so.
