I think a good laugh to break the stress is acceptable.
Maybe slighly too long though, and you can skip scan and skip that sort of
thing in an email rather quickly.
Anyway, please note the (OT) addition to the subject line.
And remember, you'll grow old quick trying to please everyone all of the
time.
