All the best for the new contract.
Been in a similar position to what you are facing. After years of
working right in Sydney (Australia that is), then moving away to my
country retreat for a couple of years still working but from home, then
to take on a 6 month contract right in the thick of it in Sydney again
was weird to say the least.

I was extremely nervous for some reason and prayed a LOT! In fact the
night before I had to leave home there was many tears, which was unlike
me. This was the year we had the Olympics and I had slight concerns
about it being a perfect setup for some attack.
Only just a few months ago I was in the post office sending some
packages and heard on the radio that it was discovered the people
responsible for the 9/11 were planning something for the Olympics here
in Sydney that year. However, they backed out for some reason, possibly
due to the fact that at the Olympics every country would be against
them. I had to control myself from tears in the post office because it
was only then, 3 or so years later, that evidence was there that God was
looking after me. It reminded me of the story about Lot that if only 1
person was faithful to God, he wouldn't destroy that city. I realise I
wasn't the only Christian in that city, but it felt amazing that prayers
were answered.
God will answer your sincere prayers and will look after you and your
family.

As all of you are aware, I have accepted a programming contract in
Windsor and I start tomorrow. I will admit that I am rather excited and
nervous at the same time.

Prayers are definitely needed as there are still some loose ends to
take care of. One of them being that my apartment in Windsor was not
yet ready for me to move in this weekend (long story), and there's no
telling if I will have a place to stay come 5pm tomorrow. Other items
include being able to actually survive until the money finally starts
rolling (we're behind on a number of things due to bad times). As well,
comfort and assurance for my family while I am away during the week.
I'm doing things so that I only have to spend 4 nights away from home.
It probably won't be easy... but, who said it would be.

Seeing as my place wasn't ready, I haven't been able to arrange any
Internet connection from there as of yet. This may mean that my
communication will be very sparse, if at all. Please, be the great list
members that you already are while I get my crap in order.

However, if you feel the need to hold a list party, please send some of
the party food my and my family's way (eating is considered a real
privilege these days).

The good thing about the apartment, when it becomes available, it is 4
minutes away from work by car (4km walk). I could get used to that!
