I am the one who's templates' links didn't work from an old site once I
changed them in DW8. Addendum: Then once I made any change again in
DWMX2004 (on my laptop) the child page links worked once more.

This is what a volunteer from Macromedia from the Macromedia forum
wrote on the subject:

"This is exactly what should happen, elizabeth"
Links in templates should have alsways been relative to the template
file. Previous versions of DW were broken in that it allowed
manually created links to slip through the cracks. DW8 plugged that
leak.

In DW8, all links in your template files must be either document
relative (to the template), or root relative."

Do you concur??
