FWIW, one SUPER feature of the new Fireworks is an item on the "File" menu called "Reconstitute table..." (at least it was on the last beta) that you point to an HTML file in which you have a table of images. In addition to making it a snap to bring legacy or in-progress tables (including those that were sliced by another program) into FW from a web page, I would guess it could be used to give you all the slices for putting back on a from-Photoshop file you'd opened in FW.
