gotta agree and echo what jord has said,
upon seeing the orignal page - the intro, I was pretty amazed, if this page is amazing, then I guess the main page should be awesome right ?
just like your meal at a restaurant.....
I was really disappointed in the page layout, and the buttons, those buttons just don't go with your design,
I would redo that whole page, from the little chocolate icecream logo and below......
that vertical chrome bar - I would get rid of it, it sticks out like a sore thumb, and doesn't add anything to the page, it's actually distracting, it's the first thing my eye hits upon.
Everybody is going to tell you something different, - remember that it's art, what somebody considers beautiful, somebody else will not like, but you asked for opinions, and so now you have some to start with.
get rid of that gray background, it's dreary, and depressing. You have some of your links in "blue"... and the text is huge !, that's a "no-no"..... you'll see that on many many amateur sites, don't oversize your text like that, it just doesn't look professional.
Think of your space as prime realestate, you want to use it very effeciently.
Mark.
