If you avoided the free trial period, and directly purchased and activated a tool, then I see no indication that activation would void the regular return/refund options: http://www.macromedia.com/go/15326
I'd hope, though, that you'd first use the technotes or included one-on-one support... for Panther we've seen FileVault problems, and a few color palette reports, as well as the archiving/activation problems a few have reported, but these seem easy to square away. There have also been good results with getting details of various "slow" reports on that performance questionnaire, and the Emerging Issues technotes detail some of the top ways to get unnatural slowness.
