Tee, I noticed a lot of weird stuff related to your font styling. I think what's happening is that there's a bunch of weird syntax in your style sheets, plus you've often got three or four styles applied to the same area of the page, with the net result that all the styles are cancelling themselves out.
The tip-off was when I happened to notice your Arial, Helvetica font tags and wondered why, since I have Helvetica installed, I was seeing Times Roman on your page in my browser. This seemed unusual since usually html font tags will override css styles.
A related problem, though somewhat different, is that throughout your style sheet you've specified weights of Goudy, plus Stone Sans. It looks like you haven't picked up on one of the most important principles of Web design that you really need to be aware of: a visitor's browser can only display fonts that are actually installed on that user's computer system. For that reason, it is only safe to specify default system fonts that normally are installed in Mac and PC operating systems. Goudy and Stone Sans don't fall into that category. They are beautiful fonts for print design work, but are useless when specified as Web page type.
If you want to ensure that some non-system font displays correctly, the only way that works is to make a graphic using the font.
Overall, the design of your page is quite nice, but those newbie errors need to be fixed.
I HIGHLY recommend that you spend next weekend carefully reading and studying Joe Gillespie's Web Page Design for Designers site at http://www.wpdfd.com , especially the sections devoted to typography and advanced typography. While it has grown somewhat beyond its beginnings, the original purpose behind the site was to help print designers adapt to designing for the Web. You won't regret a minute that you spend on his site and, in the long run, it will save you lots of time and frustration.
