I have a site which is causing me problems but is no doubt about to cause me more on a big scale. There's lots of probs with it but its exactly what the client wanted! The client is now complaining (or has and will do again soon - I can feel it coming!!) that the Flash intro (which I didn't want to do, and luckily have the emails about it!!) takes too long to load (yes I know, but that's what he wanted) It's all what he wanted and what I said not to do. It's also my fault there's no sales! I've had phonecalls late at night about this. Actually the whole brand isn't suceeding - but that's probably my fault too. I tried to impress upon the client that launching a product and a site(!!!) in Oct/Nov expecting Xmas sales let alone record Xmas sales wasn't going to happen. But..... Now however things have worsened before Christmas a search on 'my first jewellery box' brought him top of the heap with search engines - now it seems to have disappeared magically from the face of the earth never mind search engines. Now he did have links from two other sites (who may have removed them or he may have asked for them to be removed - he was upset they'd done it), maybe it was the other links that got the ranking??? Any ideas before I get the next onslaught!! Oh the keywords are his too!! I managed to have removed most of the ones he had I thought were harmful! The site : www.myfirstjewellerybox.co.uk
This is the one I'm wishing I'd never agreed to do. We all get them but .........
Sue (Who wants to be prepared for the next round as she nearly totally lost it last time - and despite being volatile at times I'm generally extremely professional when it comes to clients and always have been!)
