Wow, how off-topic is this!

The American alligator and the Salt-Water Crocodile are both native to
florida... The alligators are much more common, live in fresh water and
get much larger. The Crocs are much smaller, live in brackish water and
are much more reclusive.

And I for one do live in Florida... one of the few who was born there...
