The most common error that limits Mac usability is use of small fonts sizes with html font styling. Many PC-based designers don't realize very small sizes of some fonts such as Arial or Helvetica are nearly illegible on Macs. It's safer to use primarily designed for screen use, such as Geneva (Mac only), Verdana, etc.
It's a double-edged sword, since Mac designers often don't realize that a text size that looks good in a Mac browser may appear 30% larger on a PC, destroying a tight layout in the process.
Both problems have diminished somewhat since IE began setting 96 dpi as the default resolution on the Mac version of its browser and since more designers began using stylesheets.
Another problem which hasn't gone away is the difference in screen gamma, which results in an image that looks good on a Mac being too dark on a PC.
Joe Gillespie discusses these issues in great detail on www.wpdfd.com .
